'‘I don’t think clearly when I compose – I find myself in a tranquil state of mind that moves me and simply makes me feel. The output is an outpour of emotions that are almost foreign to me. They’re hidden somewhere deep inside, as if something that’s muted has been set free. Simply stated, this music is the song of the soul.’

Anastasia was born in Bavaria, Germany to parents of Greek descent, was raised and spent most of her life in the U.S.A, and currently resides in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She began playing the piano at the age of five and has performed and placed in various classical competitions throughout her childhood. Anastasia has been honored by prestigious organizations such as the National Federation of Music Clubs and the South Carolina Federation of Music Clubs for performances of Beethoven's Pathetique and Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu.

Anastasia's love for composing was inspired by playing contemporary piano pieces by Yann Tiersen and Eugene R. Rocherolle and began with her first compositions at the age of nine. Her debut Reminiscent builds upon these pieces composed throughout her early years, with a style that is reflective, mellow and poignant. Her music is a delicate balance between Classical and New Age and has been described as evocative, stirring and passionate.

Anastasia's second album, a similar classical crossover, has been released on July 20th, 2018 as an independent record and has been featured in the top 50 in the Zone Music Reporter charts (Rank 21, July 2018). Her album ‘Songs of the Soul’ has received several awards, including Silver Medal in the Global Music Awards, ‘Best Classical Piano Album’ in the Clouzine International Music Awards and ‘Best Instrumental Artist’ in the Indie Music Channel Awards. Anastasia has also performed music from ‘Songs of the Soul’ in the Berlin Philharmonie as part of the Enlightened Piano Radio Awards Show.

Music Reviews

"The first time I heard Anastasia's music, I knew it was a great fit for Solo Piano & New Age radio. I've heard hundreds of solo piano CD's but nothing quite like this. Anastasia's music is a perfect balance of Classical and New Age. Her playing is filled with emotion and easy on the ears. I can't wait for the world to embrace and enjoy her music for years to come."

"Songs of the Soul is not just another solo piano creation, this is an album that truly does have soul, it also has passion and tenderness, the performances are all sublime and played with such intelligence, but also with great flair. Songs of the Soul by Anastasia is a rare offering of thoughtful and moving piano compositions that touch the heart with every note played."

"A four-word version of my review would be: I love this album! Songs of the Soul began as an effort to create an album “representative of who I as a composer could be” and I truly believe that this album is all of that and more. Love, compassion, fear, joy and a variety of other moods and emotions are expressed in this music, from one soul to another. Very highly recommended!"
